Your responsibilities will include:

Leading daily hotel operations, ensuring consistent service, presentation and coordination across departments.

Coaching and developing department heads through clear expectations, regular feedback and performance reviews.

Supporting the General Manager with business planning, annual budgets, forecasting and operational reporting

Reviewing departmental performance, managing costs and labour productivity, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability.

Collaborating with Revenue and Sales & Marketing to maximise revenue across accommodation, dining, conferences and events.

Monitoring guest feedback, overseeing service recovery and addressing recurring concerns through practical improvements.

Maintaining a visible presence throughout the hotel, building guest relationships and overseeing preparations for VIP and group arrivals.

Partnering with department heads and HR on workforce planning, recruitment, training, engagement and retention.

Overseeing asset care, workplace safety, security and emergency preparedness.

Driving improvements to operational processes, sustainability practices and service delivery.

About you

You are an accomplished hospitality leader with senior operational management experience in a comparable hotel environment. You bring a strong commercial mindset, sound judgement and genuine care for your people and guests.

Confident leading through others, you build capable teams, encourage collaboration and follow through on commitments. You are equally comfortable reviewing financial performance, coaching a department head or supporting the team during a busy service.

A record of improving guest satisfaction, service standards and business performance.

A practical understanding of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award and hotel compliance requirements.
