Visionary GP owner seeking an engaged practice manager. I’m Annie, proud owner and principal GP at Rozelle Total Health. I love being a GP owner because it allows me to create an environment where great practitioners can deliver exceptional care to our community. I specialise in women’s health, and it’s (finally) having a moment. Amid all the noise, I want to create a place where women can access timely, evidence-based and personalised healthcare “IRL”. I’m looking for a new wingman for our next chapter.

I bring the vision; I need an engaged practice manager who’ll challenge my thinking, bring their own ideas, and help us test, refine and deliver the best solution. Rozelle Total Health is an established, owner-led multidisciplinary practice in Sydney’s inner west, with 13 GPs, allied health practitioners and specialists. Our new women’s health clinic, opening next door, is a premium, privately billed service with its own brand and appointment book, sharing our accreditation and Nursing team. With an established management structure and a new clinic preparing to launch, we’re looking for an experienced leader to guide our next stage of growth.

This role could be for you if:

  • You want to be a true partner to an owner with vision, shaping ideas as well as delivering them.
  • You’d rather find a better way than do it the way it’s always been done.
  • You want an owner who’s engaged, backs you and invests in your development.
  • You want to see the difference you make, without layers of head-office bureaucracy.

Your first 12 months:

  • Partner with me to launch our women’s health clinic and grow it sustainably.
  • Take ownership of operational performance, financial reporting, compliance and continuous improvement across both clinics.
  • The established practice is the foundation that makes the new clinic possible, and it needs the same care and attention.
  • Keep both clinics accredited, with systems that make compliance routine.
  • Coach our three department leads to run their areas independently.
  • Build a stable, engaged team.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience leading people and managing operations, ideally as a practice manager in general practice.
  • Strong HR and industrial relations skills, including contracts, awards and performance management.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, MBS billing and accreditation.
  • Confidence explaining the value of a premium, privately billed service.
  • A coaching style of leadership: you build capable teams, not dependence on you.
  • General practice experience is preferred, but we’d welcome strong leaders with transferable skills who learn quickly, or experienced leaders ready to step up into their first practice manager role.

This role isn’t for you if:

  • You lead by telling people what to do, rather than working alongside them.
  • Your first response to a new idea is “we can’t” or “we’re too busy”.
  • You’d rather agree than say what you really think.
  • You prefer to keep busy with tasks than to lead the people who do them.
  • You find it hard to own mistakes, whether they’re yours or your team’s.
  • You see long hours as a badge of honour. Here, they’re a sign something needs fixing.

What we offer:

  • Real influence: you’ll shape decisions with me and own how they’re delivered.
  • A regular meeting rhythm for planning, collaborating and solving problems together, so you get my full attention and uninterrupted time to do your job.
  • Flexible hours that follow the practice’s needs, with time in lieu for busy periods.
  • Ongoing external leadership coaching and professional development.
  • Strong systems, and an owner who wants them questioned and made even better.
