  • Participate in technical inspections and test activities for project equipment.
  • Review technical inspection and test results and provide recommendations concerning the acceptability of technical outcomes.
  • Complete technical investigations supporting project requirements or assist Technical Analysts in planning, conducting and documenting technical investigations.
  • Exercise technical authority within the scope and limits of an allocated delegation, including performing an Alternate Principal Engineer function when formally authorised.
  • Contribute to identifying and analysing the in-service support requirements of capabilities transitioning from Major and Minor Acquisition Projects into the receiving sustainment organisation.
  • Contribute to Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) assurance, analysis and briefing products for capabilities transitioning into service and sustainment.
  • Support the project office in planning, coordinating and achieving introduction-into-service milestones for internal and external acquisition projects.
  • Support the Design Acceptance of Class 1 Significant engineering changes for Minor Project capabilities that are transitioning, or have transitioned, into sustainment.
  • Identify technical, supportability and transition risks that may affect introduction into service or transfer to sustainment.
  • Prepare clear technical advice, recommendations and briefing products for Commonwealth consideration.
  • Provide progress updates against allocated activities, milestones, risks and dependencies.

About You:

  • Tertiary Engineering and professional Project Management qualifications and experience.
  • Experience developing project, engineering, risk, certification, acceptance or transition documentation.
  • Have demonstrated experience exercising delegated engineering or technical authority.
