The right candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for a role in warehousing & sales. This position will see you overseeing warehouse operations, forklift operations as well as backing up with the sales team in a sales role. Ideally, you would have warehouse, forklift and sales experience in a retail environment, preferably in the home improvement, interior decorating or building products industry; however, this is not essential as full product training within this industry will be provided.
You will need to have a good understanding of computers and embrace technology. You will be an attention to detail person. You will be a team player and realise that it takes a team to provide exceptional customer service to achieve targets - and that is what sets us apart. You will be well presented and have a good knowledge of the local area to assist in understanding our local community and their needs. The right candidate will flourish if they are pro-active and professional. You will be a key part of the Amber team as we strive to deliver best in class service and expert advice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Warehouse operations / Forklift operations
- Working one-on-one with retail and trade clients to help them bring their design needs to life
- Follow up communications via email and phone
- Ensuring administration duties related to your sales & warehousing are completed in a timely and effective manner
- Availability to work 5 days per week - including one weekend day
Skills and experience (whilst not all essential, these skills & experience are highly regarded):
- Warehousing experience
- Solid understanding of workplace safety
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- Clear communication (both written and verbal) and exceptional presentation skills
- Design & creativity
