At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join as a Senior Program Manager to grow the Amazon Global Store business in Australia, based from our Sydney office. Amazon Global Store is an integral pillar of the Amazon.com.au proposition that today offers high demand international products, locally to AU customers.

We work with Amazon's wider global business network, across teams such as search, customer experience, vendor management, engineering, marketing, logistics, finance, legal & compliance to tailor the best that Amazon has to offer globally into a proposition that best suits local customers' needs.

This position requires full-time in-office presence 5 days per week at our CBD location.

Key job responsibilities

  • Enjoy a high degree of ownership: Own the Global Store strategy end to end, from defining selection, pricing, promotions, and marketing, to driving execution plans with local and global teams that deliver adoption and sustainable growth.
  • Excel at stakeholder management: Drive outcomes through others by building strong relationships and influencing cross-functional teams, including search, engineering, marketing, logistics, finance, and compliance, across multiple geographies.
  • Navigate ambiguity and align diverse stakeholders around shared goals without direct authority.
  • Drive commercial performance through data: Go beyond reviewing dashboards. Proactively dive deep into metrics, uncover opportunities, build business cases, and develop actionable recommendations that improve growth, profitability, and customer value.
  • Customer Experience Ownership: Think big and invent new ways to improve Global Store CX, locally and internationally.
  • Technology & AI Adoption: Embrace AI and new technologies, diving into Amazon's tools and systems quickly and confidently to find faster, smarter ways to operate.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment: Demonstrate strong organisational skills and effectively prioritise competing demands across multiple workstreams, making sound judgment calls independently when priorities conflict.
  • Embrace a growth mindset: Demonstrate resilience, curiosity, and a genuine appetite for continuous learning, including adapting quickly to Amazon's ways of working such as document-led meetings, narrative writing, and a culture of high-velocity decision making.
  • Develop Team Capabilities: Act as a subject matter expert, coach colleagues, and contribute to team knowledge development.

A day in the life

In this role, you'll focus on growing the AU Global Store business by working across multiple teams and geographies. You might start your day analyzing customer data to identify opportunities for improving the shopping experience, then move into strategy sessions with local and international teams to plan how to expand our product offerings. You'll collaborate with colleagues in search, customer experience, vendor management, engineering, marketing, logistics, finance, legal, and compliance to bring the best of Amazon's global selection to Australian customers.

Throughout the day, you'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving, whether that's developing execution plans, troubleshooting challenges, or presenting business results to senior leadership.

About the team

We are building an innovative business that serves as a key pillar of Amazon.com.au, bringing international products to customers who want access to a broader selection. Our team works collaboratively across Amazon's global network to understand what Australian customers need and translate that into tailored solutions. We're focused on creating a leading customer experience while driving sustainable business growth.
