Are you experienced in paint and looking for a hands-on retail role in a friendly, supportive environment? PaintRight Springwood is looking for a motivated and reliable Retail Assistant to join our team.
You’ll be based primarily at our Springwood store, with occasional shifts at PaintRight St Marys as required. Working closely with the Store Managers, you’ll assist our trade and retail customers and help keep daily store operations running smoothly.
What's Involved
We have casual, part-time and full-time options available, depending on the successful candidate’s availability and preferences.
Shifts are rostered Monday to Saturday (Saturday availability not mandatory). For casual and part-time team members, additional hours may be available to cover staff leave.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Greeting customers and helping them select the right paint, coatings and accessories
- Providing knowledgeable advice on product selection, surface preparation and application, both in-store and over the phone
- Accurately preparing and tinting paint orders
- Making local deliveries to trade customers using a company vehicle
- Building strong relationships with retail and trade customers
- Maintaining store presentation and stock organisation
- Supporting the team to grow retail and trade sales
- Handling point-of-sale transactions and end-of-day procedures
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Previous experience working with paint and sound paint product knowledge are essential
- An understanding of surface preparation, coating systems and application methods
- Good communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- Time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Ability to safely handle and move paint products weighing 20-30kg, using appropriate equipment and assistance
- Availability to work primarily at Springwood, with occasional shifts at St Marys
- A current driver's licence for customer deliveries
