Role Description
The Casual Sales Stylist will provide exceptional in-store service to clients at Altea Milano Australia’s Melbourne CBD location, ensuring a welcoming and refined boutique experience.
This on-site role involves greeting customers, understanding their style preferences, and offering tailored wardrobe recommendations that reflect Altea’s Italian aesthetic and craftsmanship. The Sales Stylist will manage day-to-day retail tasks, including fitting room assistance, merchandising, stock replenishment, and maintaining store presentation standards. The role also includes processing sales, handling customer inquiries, and supporting store events or client appointments as needed. This is a casual position with variable hours based on business needs, requiring flexibility for weekends, evenings, and peak trading periods.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and client relationship skills, with the ability to offer attentive, personalized styling advice.
- Sales and retail experience in fashion or luxury goods, including confidence in meeting sales targets and handling POS systems.
- Visual merchandising and store presentation skills, with attention to detail in maintaining a premium boutique environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and a professional, polished manner.
- Genuine interest in menswear, luxury fashion, and Italian design, with an eye for fit, fabric, and styling.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team, as well as independently during quieter trading periods.
- Reliability and flexibility to work casual hours, including weekends, public holidays, and occasional evenings.
- Previous experience in a luxury or boutique retail environment is highly regarded; multilingual skills, especially Italian, are a plus.
