Join ALS Coal - Mayfield, NSW as a Casual PTL Technician!The Position ALS Coal currently has opportunities available for a Casual PTL Technician based at our site in Mayfield (Spit Island Cl) NSW.
The Position will require shift work (day, afternoon, night) on a rotating roster.
Optional overtime is available through busy periods.

The position requirements include but are not limited to: Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
Handling coal samples and processing them according to instructions and current best methods.
Loading and unloading coal samples from various plant streams.
A range of physical tests including sample preparation, sizing, crushing, dividing and sample storage.
Transfer validated results into the reporting system.
Calibration and maintenance of specialised equipment.
Requirements: A valid driver's license Current rights to work in Australia (visa, permanent resident or citizen)A strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork Strong numeracy and literacy skills Ability to organise work, multi-task and meet tight deadlines Ability to work independently without supervision Comfortable with safe manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting Competent within a strong safety culture Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems Previous coal sampling experience would be an advantage but not essential Flexibility and able to perform shift work and weekend work as required NOTE: Full training provided to the successful applicant As part of the selection process, pre-employment medical exam is required, including drug and alcohol assessment Working at ALSThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.
