As a Senior Environmental Consultant / Contaminated Land Manager in Brisbane, you'll help build a growing CLM team alongside a highly experienced QLD Manager who left the global consultancy world to do things differently.
The ambition is to grow from 4 to 10, and the projects are already coming through.
Rather than high-volume service station investigations or contractor work, you'll be delivering complex remediation, PFAS management and major development projects.
The Role
Effectively stepping in as the 2IC, you'll take ownership of project delivery, freeing up the Manager to continue winning work and growing the business.
- Project manage Stage 2 of the Wave Project, including sampling, CEMP preparation and PFAS Management Plans.
- Deliver complex investigation and remediation works on a former chemical site.
- Run contaminated land projects across SE QLD, managing clients, budgets, fieldwork and reporting.
- Guide mid-level consultants and graduates through project delivery and technical reporting.
- The Team
The QLD Manager previously led Contaminated Land nationally for a Tier 1 global engineering consultancy.
He's brought that experience into a smaller, more agile environment, without the politics and layers of approvals.
It's a practical, flexible team with reasonable workloads and a genuine commitment to work-life balance. You'll have considerable influence over how the Brisbane team develops.
Experience
- 5–15 years in contaminated land consulting.
- Strong SE QLD project experience and local regulatory knowledge.
- Confident independently managing CLM investigations and remediation projects.
- Comfortable supporting and mentoring junior consultants.
