What Role You Will Play In Team
Business Acceptance Tester
Customer Remediation Modernisation

Role purpose
Validate new remediation capabilities from the perspective of the people who perform and manage customer remediations. This is a business-testing role rather than a pure technology test role, focused on proving that end-to-end workflows, controls and customer outcomes work in practice.
What you will do
- Work directly with remediation SMEs, Product, Analysts and Engineers to understand real business processes and risks.
- Translate requirements and acceptance criteria into realistic business scenarios and end-to-end test cases.
- Execute UAT across the new UI and connected remediation capabilities, including positive, negative, exception and regression scenarios.
- Validate workflow outcomes, data presentation, business rules, controls and hand-offs against expected remediation processes.
- Maintain test evidence, traceability and defect records; clearly articulate business impact and support prioritisation.
- Retest fixes and support release/business readiness decisions.
- Identify gaps early and constructively challenge requirements or designs that will not work operationally.
What you will bring
- Hands-on experience in business/UAT testing within complex operational processes.
- Strong understanding of test design, acceptance criteria, risk-based testing and defect life cycle.
- Ability to work with business SMEs and convert real-world workflows into test coverage.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including concise defect descriptions and business impact.
- Comfort working through ambiguity and changing requirements collaboratively.
Highly regarded
- Customer remediation, financial services, operational risk or regulated process experience.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence or equivalent test/defect tooling.
- Exposure to UI, workflow and data validation testing.
- Understanding of automation concepts, while remaining primarily focused on business acceptance.
Success in the role
- Business users can evidence that new capabilities support end-to-end remediation workflows.
- Defects are found early, prioritised by customer/business impact and closed with clear regression evidence.
