Finance Director in Brisbane

Brisbane Full-Time On-site
A

We are currently partnering with a privately owned, multisite business on the search for its first Finance Director. Operating across Australia the business has grown strongly and is looking to bring in a finance leader to support its next phase.

Reporting directly to the founders, this is a newly created role with full ownership of the finance function and a genuine seat at the table on strategy, capital allocation and growth. There are no layers between you and the decision makers.

The initial focus will be on building strong foundations: reliable reporting, clear site-level performance visibility, and the processes and controls a larger business needs. With growth coming through both new sites and acquisitions, the role will quickly move into deal evaluation, funding and integration, along with scaling the team and systems to match.

The key duties of the role will include but not be limited to:

  • Establishing and leading the finance function, including management and statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
  • Building site-level reporting and KPIs that drive better decisions across the network
  • Leading financial due diligence, valuation and integration for acquisitions
  • Preparing business cases and models for new site rollout
  • Managing banking relationships, funding and working capital
  • Implementing systems, processes and controls to support a growing multisite group
  • Leading and developing a small finance team, and growing it as the business scales
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the owners on strategic and commercial decisions
