We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Fellow Core in Haematology, at Addenbrooke's Hospital part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post is to commence from as soon as possible until 03 August 2027.

This post is predominantly based on the Haematology inpatient wards or the day unit, and normally rotates between these posts at 6 months to ensure the full breadth of haematology is covered. Experience in a wide range of practical techniques including bone marrow aspiration and lumbar puncture is offered, and there is opportunity for regular participation in departmental seminars, audit, and teaching.

The duties of this post include the day-to-day care of day cases and inpatients - not only of those undergoing intensive therapies for haematological malignancies and cellular therapies including CAR T, but also those with non-malignant haematological problems such as haemolysis, sickle cell disease, haemophilia, etc. It may include some care of patients attending the Apheresis Service and those presenting with haematological emergencies.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.

Applications from job seekers who require skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. It is a requirement for skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, to present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an Equal Opportunities Employer. This post may be suitable for those wishing to undertake an 'F3' role or alternatively to gain further experience in haematology prior to registrar training.

In order to be considered, applicants must have completed their Foundation Year Two competencies, with a minimum of one year's experience in Adult General Medicine. MRCP part 1, or equivalent, is desirable. NHS experience for a minimum of 6 months is essential.
