An opportunity currently exists for a Forklift Operator based at our Kingsgrove site on a full-time permanent basis. This role is responsible for supporting packing operations to maximise line efficiency. Growth opportunities exist for the right applicant to progress into a Packing Operator role.
Forklift Operator - Kingsgrove (Full-Time Permanent)
Key Accountabilities
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and vans.
- Identify and isolate any out-of-specification raw materials.
- Maintain hygiene and GMP standards within the area of responsibility.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with GMP and HACCP requirements.
- Perform forklift start-up inspections and maintain equipment regularly.
- Identify operational issues and help minimise equipment breakdowns.
- Follow company safe work procedures and comply with all safety requirements.
- Support daily cleaning activities in the warehouse.
- Manually restack pallets when required.
About You
- Current forklift licence
- High Reach forklift experience
- Experience using RF scanners for warehouse stock movements
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and email
- Experience in food manufacturing (desirable)
- Experience with D365 or SAP systems (desirable)
- Picking orders and put away of stock using RF scanners
- Receiving incoming goods internally and from external suppliers
- Cycle counting using RF scanners
- General warehouse duties as required
- Assist with pallet control and pallet counts
