Allied Express is seeking an experienced and hands‐on Yard & Depot Operations Supervisor to provide dedicated ownership of yard operations, equipment management, fleet movements and depot flow across the critical AM-to-PM operational transition. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and organised movement of freight, vehicles and equipment while supporting operational readiness and depot performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate yard operations, traffic flow and depot organisation.
- Manage pallets, cages and equipment, including recovery and repair coordination.
- Oversee trailer and linehaul unit positioning and utilisation.
- Coordinate fleet returns, unloading activities and freight handovers.
- Manage return and pickup freight staging and progression.
- Monitor depot capacity and floor-space utilisation.
- Maintain safe vehicle movements and pedestrian pathways.
- Identify and resolve congestion, equipment and operational constraints.
About You
- Experience in transport, logistics, freight or warehouse operations.
- Strong organisational and problem‐solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast‐paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership capability.
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Forklift licence or forklift experience highly regarded.
