Marketing Support Assistant - Containers For Change - Charity Focus
Alley Katz Australia Org. is a national animal welfare organisation and registered ACNC charity based in Victoria and Queensland with reach throughout Australia.
Our charity has been issued with registered charity status to conduct fundraising in QLD.
Recently we partnered with Containers for Change to conduct fundraising through the container deposit 10c refund scheme operating in QLD.
The campaign, to raise funds for the vaccination of rescue cats managed by Alley Katz Australia Org., operates throughout all of Queensland.
Depositors of eligible containers may choose to pass on their 10c/container refund on to Alley Katz as a donation by pre-selecting Alley Katz from a list presented under the scheme or scanning a charity issued barcode at the collection point before depositing their containers.
Your mission will be to actively encourage, influence and, in some cases, facilitate and assist the public to deposit eligible containers at Containers For Change collection points not withstanding that not everyone you approach will result in a favourable outcome for Alley Katz.
Some of the tasks you can expect to perform include
- distributing barcode cards to community notice boards
- sharing business cards printed with the barcode
Optional tasks include
- building a team that can collect containers and deposit them
- engaging retailers to support Alley Katz Australia Org. and facilitating container collections from the retailer for deposit
- engaging through social media sites/groups, particularly those specifically dedicated to QLD presence as permitted by the administrators of these sites
