This role is ideal for a trade-qualified professional who enjoys a mix of tooling, maintenance, fabrication, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About The Role:
Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, this role provides critical technical support across our production and assembly operations. You will play a key role in:
- Supporting tooling and die casting performance
- Contributing to continuous improvement and automation initiatives
This is a hands-on, workshop-based role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving and delivering practical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, and overhaul dies casting
- Inspect tooling for wear, defects, and performance issues
- Perform machining, polishing, fitting, and modification work
- Support die life management and tooling optimisation
Production & Maintenance Support:
- Provide day-to-day technical support to production teams
- Diagnose and repair machinery breakdowns
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
- Minimise downtime and maintain production targets
Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures:
- Manufacture, modify, and maintain tooling and production aids
- Support new product introduction and assembly setups
- Improve workholding and tooling methods
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity
- Support automation initiatives and process improvements
- Work with engineering on equipment upgrades and modifications
Workshop Support:
- Operate workshop machinery safely and effectively
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts
About You:
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fabrication skills
- Experience with tooling, dies, or casting equipment (highly regarded)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance reports
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and in a team
