We are in need of a Fulltime Machine Operator afternoon shift that has a forklift license and experience in the beverage canning industry is preferred. The role encompasses but is not limited to:
- Maintaining safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
- Operating high speed machinery and machine adjustments
- Troubleshooting
- Performing and achieving machinery changeovers
- Accurate completion and recording of all quality, testing, and production-related documents
- Operating a forklift to load and unload shipping containers and trucks, shifting loads, warehousing, pallet wrapping including completing associated paperwork
- Working effectively and efficiently to reduce downtime
- Reporting safety incidents and completing maintenance tasks
- Ensuring production areas are cleaned up to quality standards
- Adhering to company safety and quality policies and procedures
The ingredients for success:
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- Experience in a fast paced environment ideally within the canning & beverage industry
- Excellent communication skills - listening, verbal and written
- Thorough understanding of safety, health and environment risks
- Experience working automated manufacturing lines
- Ability to commit to afternoon shift 6am - 2pm Monday-Friday and occasional Saturday if required
- A valid forklift (FL) licence and relevant driving experience
