RAW Skips (AKM Earth Pty Ltd) is a Caboolture-based skip bin and waste management business servicing the construction, demolition and commercial sectors across South East Queensland. As we grow, we're looking for a reliable Yard Hand to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the role
Working from our Caboolture Facility, you'll play a hands-on role keeping our recycling and waste sorting operations running safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Sorting construction and demolition waste by material type into designated bins
- General yard duties and site upkeep
- General labouring as directed
- Assisting with related tasks across the yard as required
- Reporting incidents, injuries or property damage promptly in line with workplace procedures
- Complying with all workplace health and safety requirements, including wearing PPE, company uniform and appropriate sun protection
About you
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Able to follow safety procedures and instructions from supervisors
- Reliable, punctual and a good team player
- Current right to work in Australia
- A current driver's licence is an advantage but not essential
Pay and conditions
- Classification: Waste Management Award 2020, Level 5
- Remuneration: $80,000+ per year
- Hours: Minimum 38 hours per week guaranteed to be made available (averaged over 4 weeks), Monday to Friday. Overtime and weekend work may be required and will be paid at Award Rates.
- Superannuation: paid in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee
- Pay cycle: paid weekly
