Job Description
As a Developer Programmer, you will collaborate with forward-thinking clients to bring their ideas and innovations to life across local and global markets. This role requires strong technical expertise in ICT, along with a solid grasp of modern programming best practices and design patterns.
An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Programmer to join our experienced Sydney team, assisting with the development of our internal applications and web-based systems. This role will suit a soon-to-be or recently graduated programmer with strong foundational skills and a willingness to learn — ideal for someone looking to kick-start their programming career. Responsibilities:
Assisting with the maintenance and development of a range of business systems, including both web and Windows-based platforms. Using varied development tools and languages including, but not limited to: PowerBuilder, .NET, .NET Core, SQL, JavaScript, PHP, Visual Studio, and Java. Coding and testing system changes for in-house software programmes. Working with various open-source technologies.
Consulting with the system development/IT manager to develop appropriate technical solutions and documentation. Qualifications: Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with a strong programming component is highly desirable. Good understanding of UX principles. Familiarity with C#, SQL, PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery, with a willingness to learn PowerBuilder.
Working knowledge of Git and Docker would be desirable. High aptitude for producing fast, clean code. Demonstrated willingness to learn and improve continuously.
Strong administrative skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, while also being able to operate independently when appropriate. Permanent Residents (PR) and Australian Citizens are eligible to apply. Job Type: Full-time.
Salary: $70,000 to $120,000 per year + Super
