About the Role
This is an opportunity to join an established commercial blueberry operation within Queensland's Toowoomba Region.
This hands-on role offers the chance to apply your technical growing expertise, influence crop performance and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.
Duties
- Plan and deliver blueberry production programs, including pruning, irrigation, fertigation, crop nutrition and crop protection.
- Support nursery management, plant establishment and ongoing crop development.
- Monitor crop health, anticipate seasonal challenges and make informed decisions to optimise quality and yield.
- Work closely with farm management and operational teams to coordinate growing activities and seasonal production requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve growing practices, production efficiency and longer-term crop performance.
Skills & Experience
We're keen to hear from blueberry growers with practical growing experience, sound technical knowledge and an interest in contributing to a progressive production environment.
Ideally, you will bring
- Hands-on experience in commercial blueberry production or a similar horticultural environment.
- Strong working knowledge of irrigation, fertigation, pruning, crop nutrition and pest and disease management.
- An understanding of crop health, plant development and seasonal growing requirements.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills, with a practical, hands-on approach.
- The confidence to make informed growing decisions and work collaboratively with farm teams.
