We are seeking an experienced, organised and compassionate Aged Care Programs Coordinator to deliver high-quality, compliant and outcomes-focused aged care programs across the ACT. This is a home-based position, but it is not a work-from-home lifestyle role. You will regularly visit aged care services, meet with volunteers, support older people and build strong relationships throughout the community. This is a busy and autonomous role with clear performance expectations and juggling tasks and responsibilities. It is best suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, managing competing priorities and achieving measurable outcomes. This role is not suitable for applicants who will be undertaking ongoing caring responsibilities or other regular commitments during work hours.

About the Role

The Aged Care Programs Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of the Australian Government-funded Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, screening, onboarding and supporting volunteers
  • Managing referrals and ensuring timely contact and appropriate participant matching
  • Monitoring program activity against funded targets and KPIs
  • Maintaining accurate, compliant and audit-ready records
  • Preparing reports within required timeframes
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with aged care providers and community organisations
  • Representing Ageing with Grace professionally and ethically at all times

About You

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a minimum of three years' experience in volunteer management, human resources, community services coordination or a similar people-focused coordination role
  • Be seeking a long-term career opportunity
  • Be highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Have excellent judgement and confidence making decisions while knowing when to seek support
  • Be accountable, reliable and committed to following through on your responsibilities
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Be compassionate and respectful when working with older people and diverse communities
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

You will also have:

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database systems
  • Dedicated space in your home for a home office set up
  • Experience maintaining detailed records and producing accurate reports
  • A current driver's license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Willingness to complete and maintain a National Police Check
  • The ability to travel regularly throughout the ACT region

Experience in aged care, volunteer management or community services will be highly regarded.

Why Join Ageing with Grace?

  • Make a genuine difference in the lives of older people experiencing loneliness
  • Join a growing national charity with an outstanding reputation
  • Work autonomously while being supported by an experienced leadership team
  • Flexible home-based structure with meaningful community engagement
