We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team. As an RN, you will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering clinical care, supporting residents' health and well-being, and mentoring care staff under the guidance of our facility management. - Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Supervise and support care staff in delivering high-quality care
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and clinical guidelines
- Monitor and report on resident health status, including vital signs and changes in condition
- Maintain accurate resident records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents and their families
- Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
About the Employer: Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd, located in Mackay, Queensland, operates two aged care facilities: Kerrisdale Gardens and Good Shepherd Lodge. We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our clinical team on a casual or fixed term (up to 6 months) basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, supervising and supporting care staff, and maintaining a safe and caring environment for residents.
About the Candidate: We are looking for a professional, compassionate, and reliable individual committed to delivering excellent nursing care. The successful candidate will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Previous experience in residential aged care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
- Commitment to resident-centered care and adherence to care plans
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to employment
- Current Influenza (Flu) Vaccination or willingness to obtain, in line with QLD aged care requirements
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
