Key Accountabilities

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in defining and delivering change across multiple workstreams. You’ll liaise with diverse stakeholders to elicit and validate requirements for changes in business processes and systems, ensuring solutions align to the program’s target state.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Gather, analyse, and confirm business requirements for data, model, process, and system changes.
  • Solution Definition: Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories, ensuring technology outcomes are fit for purpose, testable, and aligned to the program’s target architecture.
  • Delivery Coordination: Support testing, implementation, and change management activities to ensure new solutions are deployed effectively and meet regulatory and business needs.
  • Requirements Definition: Collaborate across teams to document detailed business requirements and translate them into testable technical outcomes.
  • Analysis and Design: Convert requirements into stories, acceptance criteria, and system designs. Analyse existing services, perform field-level data analysis, define intra-system mapping and transformation rules, and document interface specifications.
  • Dependency Mapping: Document system dependencies, information flows, and constraints. Maintain traceability from requirements through design, build, and testing.
  • Testing Oversight: Develop and govern test plans and cases. Participate in various testing cycles (e.g., UAT, SIT) to validate requirements. Where possible, promote test automation for efficiency.
  • Change Implementation: Prepare teams for process and system changes, ensuring operational readiness and user adoption.

  • Issue Resolution: Analyse logs and data to identify root causes, manage defect resolution, and document learnings for continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration Tools: Use platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and MS Teams to document requirements, designs, test evidence, and progress updates.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with business SMEs, developers, testers, and vendors to ensure solutions are delivered cohesively.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks related to data quality, system dependencies, or testing impacts, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
