Build, mentor and empower a high performing team. As a Supervisor with AES, you are responsible for supervising and leading a team of multi-skilled equipment maintenance personnel in a safe and cost-effective achievement for the length of the project.

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Ensure that the work plans for the job are followed
- Conduct formal daily workplace inspections with follow-up actions of any substandard conditions or practices identified
- Assist in the identification of the need for and preparation of JHAs and work procedures
- Run daily prestart meetings to discuss issues including work procedures, JHA requirements, incidents, near misses, hazards identified, employee concerns and job progress. Minutes of meetings to be recorded and retained
- Ensure all employees are informed of hazards in their work areas and activities as they become known
- Ensure that the AES safety management plan for the task at hand is implemented and complied with
- Receives hazard reports from personnel and actively controls the hazard
- Actively encourages site OH&S targets to be met
- Perform any additional tasks as directed which are within your skill, qualification and competence level.
What we are looking for:
- Australian Manual Drivers Licence
- Australian/NZ Recognised Trade Certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the civil or mining sectors
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Supervisor in the civil or mining sectors
- S26 Statutory Supervisor Training (desired)
- Exposure to managing groups of tradespeople
