About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, organised and people-focused Wellness Engagement Officer to join our team at Miranda.
This is a varied role combining resident engagement and wellbeing support with concierge and administrative responsibilities.
You will spend time getting to know our residents, building meaningful relationships, supporting their interests and preferences, and helping create a positive dining experience. You will also provide concierge coverage, assist with reception enquiries and support admissions and general administration.
The role is generally split between approximately three days of resident engagement, dining and administration and two days of concierge coverage.
Your main duties will include:
- Build positive relationships with residents, getting to know their interests, routines, cultural needs and individual preferences.
- Support resident wellbeing through companionship, meaningful engagement and assistance accessing lifestyle activities and services.
- Help create a welcoming dining experience, including collecting meal selections twice weekly and coordinating with the kitchen.
- Support residents with eating and drinking where appropriately trained and authorised, following individual care plans.
- Provide concierge and reception coverage, welcoming visitors, answering enquiries and directing calls to the appropriate teams.
- Assist with admissions, resident tours, email enquiries, referrals and general administration.
- Support roster administration, including following up sick calls and assisting with replacement staff arrangements.
- Work closely with the care, lifestyle, kitchen and administration teams to ensure a coordinated and positive resident experience.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Experience working with older people, ideally within an aged care environment.
- A warm, friendly and approachable manner with a genuine passion for supporting residents.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families and visitors.
- Good organisational and administration skills, with confidence using email and computer systems.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across different teams.
- An understanding of resident choice, dignity, privacy and individual preferences.
- A relevant Aged Care, Individual Support or Lifestyle qualification is desirable.
