We’re looking for a casual cook to cover multiple staff leave periods throughout October, with ongoing casual shifts available in the future.

About You
You should ideally be an empathetic person who
- Enjoys working with the elderly.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is able to supervise, organise and guide staff, to deliver high quality catering outcomes.
- Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
- Can communicate effectively both verbally and written.
You should possess the following
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
- Aged Care experience (highly regarded).
- A high level of food safety knowledge.
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.

About the Role
A working day will involve
- Organising kitchen staff in the preparation and serving of meals.
- Preparing resident’s meals according to dietary plans and menus developed.
- Managing receipt of stores, and food storage according to the relevant regulations.
- Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.
