Understanding current team capability will be important as will planning for future people requirements, ensuring the team culture enables the growth, retention, development and recruitment to build this future capability aligned to market needs.

You will be working with a current team of subject matter leaders across client, engineering, design and delivery, who together provide a broad range of services across the Systems Planning, Grid Integration and related practice area. You will also have scope to lead projects in a Project Manager, Design Manager or Project Director capacity.

Likely based in Melbourne, this role will have a broad geographic remit working with all markets in ANZ across our Energy business covering Transmission & Distribution, and Generation & Storage, working on large utility scale, complex energy infrastructure projects.

How you will make a difference:

  • Develop, mentor and lead leaders with a focus on continuing the development of a high performing team culture with succession pathway for future leaders.
  • Provide strategic technical leadership across renewable energy, battery energy storage and power generation projects, advocating for both current and future market requirements.

To be successful in this Industry Director role at AECOM, you will be a proven leader known in the industry for your leadership, technical and delivery experience, with the ability to build mutually beneficial relationships as a trusted advisor. You will be known for your collaboration abilities across stakeholders, including with regulated utility clients, government regulators, OEMs, contractors and other key industry organisations.
