  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, supplier agreements and other legal documentation.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to identify, assess and manage legal and regulatory risks.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, auditors and regulatory bodies, including APRA, ASIC, AFCA and OAIC.
  • Prepare legal correspondence, submissions, reports and supporting documentation.
  • Support legal projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance legal processes, workflow efficiency and knowledge management.
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive and privileged information.
  • Collaborate with the broader Risk and Governance team and support additional projects and initiatives as required.

Your Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent qualification) and admission to practice in Australia.
  • Approximately 3-5 years' post-qualification experience gained within a law firm and/or in-house environment, with exposure to financial services law and general corporate/commercial law, including the Corporations Act, Australian Consumer Law and relevant insurance legislation.
  • The ability to provide technically sound legal advice while translating complex legal issues into practical, commercial and risk-based solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, supported by strong attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, including managing relationships with external law firms and professional advisers.
  • Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities and stakeholders while delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within a regulated industry, particularly financial services, insurance or banking, will be highly regarded.
