About the role
AIL is seeking an experienced landscaper to slot right into our team as a leading hand. This full-time position offers a great opportunity to develop your skills as a leader while still working with the support of the site manager and project team on some of Adelaide's highest profile construction projects.
Key responsibilities
- Working alongside the team to ensure all work is installed to a high standard
- Supervising and coordinating the landscape crew's daily activities
- Allocating tasks and resources effectively to meet project objectives
- Demonstrating best practices and providing guidance/mentoring younger team members
- Conducting site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specs
- Communicating with clients and site/project managers regarding progress, challenges and discussing solutions
- Maintaining equipment and tools in good working order and ensuring proper storage and maintenance
What we're looking for
- Approx 5 years landscaping or equivalent experience
- Energetic personality that enjoys leading as well as working as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of plants, turf, soil conditions and landscape materials
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems
- Strong understanding of levels, base preparation and hardscape elements
- Proficiency in operating bobcat/excavators
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Experience in concrete/paving is highly regarded
- MR/HR license highly regarded
- Current drivers license is non-negotiable
