Our client is looking for experienced Forklift Operators / Freight Loaders to join their busy warehouse and transport operation.
This role requires someone with strong hands-on freight loading experience particularly loading and unloading side-curtain and B-double trucks.
If your experience is primarily general warehouse forklift work this may not be the right role.
We are looking for operators who are confident working around trucks, freight and fast-paced loading operations.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Loading and unloading side-curtain and B-double trucks
- Operating forklifts safely in a busy freight environment
- Loading freight correctly and efficiently
- Moving and stacking stock within the warehouse
- RF scanning and accurate freight handling
- Manual handling and some heavy lifting
- Following loading instructions and site procedures
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Working closely with drivers and the warehouse team
Your Profile
To be successful, you will need:
- Proven experience loading side-curtain trucks
- Experience working with B-double freight operations
- Good safety record and a safety-first attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and loading requirements
- Experience with RF scanners
- Warehouse stock-stacking experience
- Willingness and ability to undertake manual handling and some heavy lifting
- Reliability and commitment to Monday-to-Friday work
- $44 per hour
- Consistent Monday-to-Friday hours
- Choice of AM or PM shift, subject to availability
- Ongoing casual opportunity
