We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Hand / Forklift Operator to join our client's team.
This is a hands‐on yard-based position involving forklift operation, movement of products, stock organisation and loading trucks and customer vehicles.
There are a large number of different products on site, including longer and potentially awkward loads, so strong forklift skills, good spatial awareness and excellent attention to detail are essential.
Reliability is an absolute MUST.
We are looking for someone who will consistently turn up on time, be ready to work and become a dependable member of the team.

Responsibilities
- Safely operating a forklift within the yard
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Loading products onto customer vehicles
- Moving and organising stock throughout the yard
- Safely handling long-length and awkward products
- Selecting and identifying the correct products for orders
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Following site safety procedures and instructions
- Assisting with general yard duties as required
- Learning our client's product range and processes
Your Profile
- Good practical forklift operating experience
- Experience confidently moving and positioning different-sized loads
- Experience loading and unloading trucks highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail
- Good safety awareness
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Willingness to learn
- Physically capable of undertaking general yard duties
- Excellent reliability and attendance
- Ability to successfully complete a drug and alcohol test
