The Opportunity
An opportunity is available for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their Yatala team, taking ownership of estimating and tendering across a diverse range of commercial HVAC projects.
Working closely with experienced Project Managers, you will have the autonomy to manage tenders, influence commercial outcomes and contribute to securing new projects.
With experience acrosssecuring and delivering major projects, the business offers exposure to a broad portfolio of work.
Key Responsibilities include
- Prepare competitive estimates, budgets, D&C tenders, GMP submissions and negotiated pricing.
- Review drawings, specifications and project documentation to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Price HVAC plant, ductwork, pipework, controls and associated mechanical services.
- Liaise with builders, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to develop competitive solutions.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to support tender handovers and project delivery.

Experience
- Mechanical estimating experience across Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction projects.
- Experience pricing healthcare, infrastructure, commercial and warehousing developments.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical services installations.
- Experience preparing D&C tenders, budgets, GMP submissions and negotiated pricing.
- Established industry relationships and strong commercial negotiation skills.
- An engineering background, on-site delivery experience or trade qualification will be highly regarded.
