Site Supervisor in Adelaide

Construkt is an established, owner-operated Adelaide builder specialising in quality custom homes and high-end renovations. We're looking for a Site Supervisor - or an experienced carpenter ready to take the next step into site leadership - to become an important part of our small, highly regarded team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more responsibility, autonomy and exposure to the whole building process than they may get working for a larger builder.

You'll work directly with the business owner, be trusted to take ownership of your projects and, as you demonstrate your capability, have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and leadership within the business. Importantly, this is a hands-on supervisory role. We're not looking for someone who wants to manage sites entirely from their phone or vehicle. You'll coordinate trades, drive the program and maintain quality - but you'll also be comfortable picking up the tools and helping out when that's what the job needs.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Taking increasing ownership of the day-to-day delivery of custom residential builds and renovations.
• Coordinating trades, subcontractors, suppliers and day-to-day site activities.
• Planning ahead, sequencing works and making sure the right people and materials are on site when required.
• Keeping projects moving efficiently and proactively addressing issues before they become problems.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship, finish and attention to detail.
• Monitoring site safety, presentation and quality.
• Building strong, respectful relationships with trades, suppliers and clients.
• Communicating closely with the owner on progress, priorities and any issues requiring attention.
• Taking ownership of problems and following them through to resolution.
• Assisting on the tools when required.

About you:

• Ideally trade-qualified in carpentry with at least 3 years' relevant construction experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is valued, but not necessary.
• Experience with custom homes, architectural residential construction and/or high-end renovations will be highly regarded.
• Are exceptionally reliable and follow through on what you say you'll do.
• Take genuine pride in your work and the finished product.
• Have strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
• Are proactive - you see what needs doing and act rather than waiting to be told.
• Can coordinate trades effectively and confidently.
• Think ahead and understand how today's work affects the next stages of a project.
• Communicate well with clients, trades, suppliers and your team.

• Are comfortable remaining hands-on when required.

This role could suit either an established residential Site Supervisor who enjoys being close to the build, or an ambitious carpenter who knows they're capable of more and wants an employer prepared to give them that opportunity. Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + super + vehicle, depending on experience and capability.
