ActiveSelect Limited is an employment agency recruiting temporary Domiciliary Care Workers for a care provider in Cumbria. We have over 249 hours of care available each week, with immediate starts. You will provide personal care and support to people in their own homes, including personal care, dressing, medication support, meal preparation and help with food and fluids.
Areas and hours available each week:
- Penrith (CA10 and CA11), including Eamont Bridge, Stainton, Great Strickland and Calthwaite - around 103 hours
- Alston (CA9) - around 81 hours
- Southwaite and High Hesket (CA4) - 21 hours
- Arnside and Carnforth (LA5) - around 17 hours
- Kirkby Stephen (CA17) - around 10 hours
- Askam-in-Furness (LA16) - around 9 hours
- Ambleside (LA22) - around 9 hours
Some packages require a female carer, as the role involves intimate personal care for female service users.
Pay and benefits:
- £17 to £20 per hour, depending on experience
- Accommodation provided at no cost for a 4-week block booking in the Penrith area
- Training provided
- You will be paid through our umbrella company, Bishopsgate Employment Services, which charges a fee of £17.50 per week deducted from your pay.
- Mileage is included in the hourly rate, and travel time between visits is not paid separately.
- This is a zero-hours contract with no guaranteed hours.
Requirements:
- Experience in care is desirable but not essential, as we offer training
- A caring, reliable and patient approach
- An Enhanced DBS
- The right to work in the UK
- Two references
- A car and full driving licence, to travel between service users' homes
