If you’ve built your skills in forestry harvesting, land clearing, disaster cleanup, utility corridor vegetation work, or working alongside arborists and hand fellers, this is where your experience can truly shine! We’re expanding our Major Projects Division and looking for multiple skilled Operators to join us, with major project activity underway across NSW/SA over the next 12 months. This is a chance to work on high impact vegetation projects, grow your career, and be part of a team that values capability, attitude, and real-world experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating forestry and vegetation machinery such as tracked and wheeled harvesters, mulchers/slashers, feller bunchers, excavators with forestry heads/grab attachments, or wheeled mulchers.
- Supporting hand fellers, arborists and ground crews to safely clear and process vegetation.
- Working on linear infrastructure projects, utility corridors and remote access sites.
- Completing JSAs and adhering to strict environmental and safety controls.
- Contributing to high volume clearing programs with efficiency and teamwork.
- Maintaining equipment and reporting hazards, defects and site conditions.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in vegetation / forestry environments.
- Experience on large land‑clearing, forestry, storm cleanup or vegetation projects.
- Exposure to working around arborists, climbers, hand‑fellers or vegetation crews.
- Experience with fixed forestry heads, mulching attachments, grapple saws or wheeled mulchers.
- Strong hazard awareness near chainsaw operators.
- Ability to work in remote, rugged or steep terrain.
- Strong awareness of environmental compliance.
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a large crew environment.
- Ability to provide professional guidance and support to less experienced operators, where required.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to identify challenges and contribute practical solutions.
