Job Description
Admirable Painting Service is a painting business located in Lavington, New South Wales 2641, providing painting services to its clients. To support its ongoing operations, Admirable Painting Service is seeking an experienced full-time Painting Trades Worker to join its team. The position offers an annual salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation. Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up ladders and scaffolding and covering nearby surfaces with drop sheets to prevent paint spills and splashes.
- Preparing walls, ceilings and other surfaces by stripping old paint or wallpaper, repairing timber, filling gaps and cracks, and sanding surfaces to achieve a smooth finish.
- Mixing paints and other coatings to achieve the required colours and consistency.
- Applying paint, varnish and stains using brushes, rollers or spray equipment.
- Installing wallpaper by aligning patterns, cutting sections to size and trimming edges neatly.
- Cleaning and maintaining painting tools, equipment and the worksite after completing tasks.
- Inspecting painted surfaces and carrying out touch-ups to ensure a consistent and professional finish.
- Measuring surfaces and estimating the materials required for painting work.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures when handling paints, solvents, ladders and other equipment.
- May repair window frames and replace broken glass in timber or metal frames.
- May install or repair wall and floor tiles.
Qualifications:
- At least one (1) year of local experience in painting and decorating.
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.
Note: Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.
