Active Kids Early Learning Centre – Mount Gravatt East QLD
Active Kids Early Learning Centre Mt Gravatt is looking for a Kitchen Hand/Commi Chef who is able to work well in a team and support the centre Chef During Key hours of the day. The commi chef will also support the growth of our service needs.
This position is permanent part-time 3 days a weekTuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are a large service catering for over 90 children per day and growing. Great time management skills and being able to successfully meal prep is a must.
The successful candidate will have:
- Confident in stock rotation, budgeting, and shopping for the kitchen.
- Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Current Working with Children's Check or application in place.
- Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain.
- Current Child Protection Training or willingness to obtain.
- A willingness to place the children’s best interest at the heart of every decision.
- Possess a solution-orientated attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work autonomously.
- Possess excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills and confidently manage a kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, in accordance with Food and Council Authority requirements.
- Provide culinary classes alongside our educators to even the littlest in our centres.
- Menu planning, in accordance with the centre's nutrition policy and guidelines; and working with your Head Chef
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, in accordance with Queensland Health Department requirements.
