Join a supportive and dedicated Anatomical Pathology team and play an important role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services that contribute to positive patient outcomes.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for receiving, sorting and processing specimens, performing established diagnostic and technical procedures, preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, and undertaking embedding, microtomy, and a variety of staining techniques. You will also support the preparation of cytology specimens for analysis, including cell block preparation, and perform frozen sectioning of specimens for immunofluorescence analysis.

Working in a collaborative laboratory environment, you will assist with the preparation of reagents and laboratory materials, use and maintain histology equipment, monitor consumable stock levels, and undertake routine laboratory duties that support the smooth operation of the service. You will contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant workplace while participating in an out-of-hours roster, including occasional nights, weekends, public holidays, and an on-call component to support service delivery requirements.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and approachable professional who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and values collaboration. They will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a dynamic laboratory environment.
