About the Role:

We have exciting leadership opportunities for experienced Allied Health Professionals to join our multidisciplinary teams at Canberra Hospital. While both positions are full-time, reduced hours may be considered.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will partner with nursing, medical and allied health teams in an interdisciplinary model, providing leadership and specialist expertise in complex care coordination and discharge planning. As an Allied Health Clinical Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting safe, timely and sustainable patient transitions across Canberra Hospital. Leading complex care coordination and discharge planning, you will connect patients with the services and supports they need to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will also provide leadership to the allied health teams providing clinical service delivery in these areas.

We are seeking collaborative and adaptable allied health professionals with strong clinical leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. In this role, you will provide specialist expertise to multidisciplinary teams, contribute to service improvement and clinical governance initiatives, support staff development, and help deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. Opportunities are available within the General Medicine service and the Care Optimisation and Transition Unit (COTU), a specialised sub-acute ward focused on functional optimisation and safe transitions of care.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

  • Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
  • Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
  • Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
