The General Labourer is responsible for supporting the maintenance and presentation of renewable energy sites and associated infrastructure. This role involves a range of grounds maintenance, general labouring and site upkeep activities to ensure sites remain safe, compliant and well maintained.
Key responsibilities
- Perform grass cutting, slashing, whipper snipping and vegetation control across renewable energy sites
- Undertake general maintenance and repair tasks as directed
- Maintain site grounds, access tracks, fencing and surrounding facilities
- Assist tradespeople and maintenance technicians with routine maintenance activities
- Operate and maintain equipment and tools safely and effectively
- Conduct site clean-up activities and remove debris, vegetation and waste materials
- Complete basic inspections and identify maintenance issues requiring attention
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, site procedures and safety requirements
- Follow Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), risk assessments and environmental controls
About you
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, labouring, farming, construction or a similar role
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of maintenance and labouring tasks
- Positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high site standards
