ACE Tyres and Auto Services is seeking a qualified Mechanic/Road Worthy Inspector. Victorian Roadworthy Inspector accreditation is highly desirable but not essential. We are happy to consider an experienced qualified mechanic.
We are a family-owned and operated automotive business in Caroline Springs, with over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanic with Victorian Roadworthy Inspector accreditation to join our team.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, is reliable and enjoys working in a friendly, professional and family-oriented environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- General vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Brake, suspension, steering and engine repairs
- Conducting Victorian roadworthy inspections
- Carrying out vehicle safety inspections
- Diagnosing faults and providing professional recommendations
- Speaking directly with customers to understand their vehicle needs
- Explaining mechanical issues and recommended repairs clearly to customers
- Preparing accurate quotes for repairs and servicing
- Discussing repair options, costs and timeframes with customers
- Obtaining customer approval before proceeding with additional repairs
- Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant Victorian regulations and safety standards
- Providing professional and friendly customer service
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Confidence discussing repairs and providing quotes to customers
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable, honest and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Immediate start available for the right person
