Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements and accounting reports for clients
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheets and profit and loss statements
- Maintaining accurate and organised financial records
- Performing bank and account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
- Maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable records
- Processing payroll and maintaining related financial records
- Assisting with bookkeeping and accounting compliance activities
- Reviewing financial information for accuracy and completeness
- Assisting clients with accounting and financial queries
- Using accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and other relevant accounting systems
- Maintaining client records and ensuring accounting work is completed accurately and within required timeframes
About you:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- Relevant professional accounting experience
- Experience preparing financial statements and accounting reports
- Experience with balance sheets, profit and loss statements and account reconciliations
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience processing payroll
- Experience using Xero, QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
