As an Apprentice Chef, you will work as part of a large kitchen brigade undergoing structured training gaining practical experience in a professional kitchen under the guidance of experienced chefs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Learn proper techniques for handling and cutting various food items.
- Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safe handling of food.
- Seek opportunities to expand your knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavour profiles.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including washing dishes, equipment and utensils.
Skills & Experience:
- Passion for cooking, currently pursuing a qualification in commercial cookery with a strong desire to pursue a culinary career.
- Enthusiasm to learn and adapt in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
