About the role
Accel Air is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Subcontractor to join our growing network of technicians servicing residential customers across Melbourne's Eastern and southeastern suburbs.
You'll service, maintain and repair ducted gas heating and evaporative cooling systems.
Our office team handles the bookings, scheduling and customer communication, so you can focus on the work.
This is an ongoing subcontract opportunity for a licensed, self-motivated tradie who takes pride in quality work and great customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing gas ducted heating systems and evaporative coolers
- Carrying out gas safety checks, carbon monoxide (CO) testing and compliance work
- Diagnosing and fixing faults efficiently, identifying root causes and recommending effective solutions
- Disconnecting and reconnecting appliances within the scope of your electrical license
- Replacing faulty parts and components in line with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Completing service reports, compliance documentation and job notes accurately via our job management system
- Explaining findings and recommendations to customers in a clear, friendly way
- Recommending preventative maintenance or upgrades where appropriate
- Following all OH&S requirements, regulations and company procedures
About you
- Proven experience in HVAC service work, specifically gas heating and evaporative cooling
- Current Type A Gas Servicing license (Victorian Building Authority)
- Restricted Electrical license for disconnect/reconnect work (Energy Safe Victoria)
- Active ABN and current Public Liability Insurance
- Your own reliable vehicle, tools and diagnostic equipment
- Based in or close to Melbourne's East / Southeast suburbs
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Professional, punctual and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and manage your own day
- Valid driver's license
