Absolute Plants and Landscapes (APL) QLD is looking for a hands-on Leading Hand to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Team Leader or skilled landscaper ready to step into a leadership role.
You'll lead a small team across multiple projects while working closely with the Project Manager to deliver high-quality landscaping works safely and efficiently.

We work with a major national client with sites throughout Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia, giving our team the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects.

About the Role
Your key responsibilities will include
- Leading and coordinating a small landscaping team
- Delegating daily tasks and maintaining high-quality standards
- Coordinating labour, materials and site requirements
- Keeping the Project Manager updated on progress
- Operating and overseeing machinery safely
- Maintaining daily records of labour, materials and completed works
- Communicating with trades, contractors and key stakeholders
- Problem-solving and making practical decisions on site
About You
We're looking for someone who
- Has experience in hard and soft landscaping
- Has leadership experience or is ready to take the next step
- Is confident leading and motivating a team
- Has strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Is organised and comfortable with basic software and site paperwork
- Holds a current driver's licence and Construction White Card
- Holds an MR Truck Licence
- Has Bobcat/Skid Steer competency or relevant ticket
- Has excavator experience, which is beneficial but not essential
