Ability Enterprises is a Toowoomba-based not-for-profit social enterprise creating meaningful employment opportunities for people who face barriers to employment.
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and hands-on Casual Operators to join our team at Waste Facility Operations (Shed C) and Resource Recovery Operations (Shed B) at the Kleinton and Wellcamp waste facilities.
What you'll do
Assist customers and members of the public.
Support safe and efficient waste management and resource recovery.
Identify and recover reusable and recyclable materials.
Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe.
Operate equipment and machinery as required.
What we're looking for
A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
Confidence communicating with customers and working as part of a team.
A current Australian manual driver's licence and reliable transport.
Basic computer skills.
A forklift licence is highly regarded.
Ability to pass a National Police Check.

Casual employment, approximately 15–20 hours per week.

These are short-term positions expected to commence in mid-November to early December and run until the end of January, with the potential for extension depending on operational requirements.
Weekend and public holiday availability is essential , with shifts rostered to meet operational needs.
