We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major wastewater network upgrade on the Northern Gold Coast. This program of works will increase network capacity, support future population growth and ensure long‐term environmental compliance for the region. The scope includes approximately 15 kilometres of gravity and rising mains, two new pump stations, and the renewal and decommissioning of existing sewerage assets along a key corridor between Ormeau and Eagleby.
As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for full project leadership, commercial performance, stakeholder engagement and delivery outcomes across a complex, multi‐site environment.
- Leading end‐to‐end project delivery to achieve program, budget, safety and quality objectives
- Developing and executing project delivery strategies, staging, methodologies and risk frameworks
- Providing high‐level technical and delivery leadership across complex sewer network and pipeline works
- Managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliers across multiple work fronts
- Overseeing procurement planning, contract negotiation and supply‐chain performance
- Driving commercial management including cost control, forecasting, reporting and claims
- Leading contract administration, variations, progress claims and client reporting
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and quality management systems
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the client, authorities, landowners and stakeholders
- Coaching and developing Project Engineers, Site Engineers and emerging leaders
- Representing Abergeldie as the senior project lead in all internal and external forums
A tertiary qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is required, along with extensive experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects at Senior Project Manager level. Demonstrated success managing major civil, linear or utilities projects with multiple work zones is essential. Strong commercial and contractual capability, including NEC, AS and collaborative contract models is necessary. Proven ability to lead high‐performing teams and foster a positive, solutions‐focused culture is important. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence outcomes are required. A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to navigate complex technical and delivery challenges is essential. A strong commitment to safety, quality and collaborative project delivery is expected.
