Our Park Ridge team is looking for a hands‑on warehouse all‑rounder who is ready to step up into leadership and wants to be part of a business that genuinely rewards effort.
About the Role
Reporting to the QLD Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse 2IC helps run our Park Ridge warehouse day to day. You’ll lead the team on the floor across receiving, picking, packing, dispatch and inventory, and you’ll run the site when the Warehouse Manager is away. This is a hands‑on role. You’ll jump into any position on the floor, from forklift work and goods receivals through to the occasional delivery. There’s clear scope to grow into a warehouse management role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the warehouse team on the floor, allocating tasks and setting priorities each day
- Being a role model for safe work practices and WHS compliance
- Receiving, putting away, picking, packing and dispatching goods accurately
- Operating forklifts and pallet jacks, wrapping pallets, and loading delivery vehicles
- Coordinating stock checks and cycle counts and investigating discrepancies
- Keeping warehouse management system (WMS) records accurate
- Identifying improvements to warehouse layout, processes and systems
- Completing deliveries in 1 and 2 tonne vans if required (standard car licence)
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience leading, supervising or training others (desirable)
- Familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems
- Confidence planning, prioritising and making decisions when running the site
- Great communication skills and good computer skills
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks
- A positive, can‑do attitude and a reliable, punctual work ethic
- A current forklift licence (essential)
- A current driver’s licence and your own car (essential)
- You will be required to complete a Criminal History Check, Work with Children Check, a Physical/Medical Check and drug and alcohol screening
