Our client is a large NSW government statutory department.
They are undertaking a $1.4 billion public safety radio network build and providing guidance across a range of other networks.
The Principal Network Security Architect will play a key role within the within the highly technical and collaborative Cyber Security Networks team.
Responsibilities
- Complete the detailed design & implementation of a Cisco switched EVPN-VXLAN fabric between 2 data centres
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver on agreed commitments and standards
- Migration of critical applications from the legacy network to Cisco EVPN-VXLAN fabric
- Provide an operational escalation to the NOC and the Security operations team
- Provide support during and post cutover.
- Ensure all projects comply with cyber security best practices and meet relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Manage stakeholder relationships
- Ensure solutions cater for the business requirements.
- Act as the Network Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) within project teams - providing guidance and expertise
- Develop and implement network security policies and controls to safeguard availability, integrity and confidentiality.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in the design and implementation of secure, resilient, and scalable networks to support critical infrastructure and applications
- Key technology exposure includes routing, switching, Cisco switched EVPN-VXLAN fabric, Next Generation firewalls, Network Access Control (NAC), Public Cloud and Application Delivery Controllers (ADC).
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills,
- Experience providing design and as-built documentation along with up-to-date network diagrams
- Outstanding ability to troubleshoot and manage incidents relating to the migration.
- Experience in developing technology roadmaps that align with organisational goals
- An ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge on ICT, cyber security and cyber risk trends and hold relevant industry certifications.
- Must have, or be able to attain a baseline security clearance (Australian citizenship essential)
