A1 Metallising Services Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Horizontal Borer Operator to join our team in Turrella, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our manufacturing operations. As a CNC Borer Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC boring machines to produce precision components that meet our exacting quality standards. This position is essential to maintaining our production schedules and delivering high-quality products to our clients.
Key responsibilities
Set up and calibrate CNC boring machines in accordance with technical specifications and engineering drawings
Develop and input CNC programmes or modify existing programmes to optimise production efficiency and accuracy
Operate CNC boring machines to produce components with precision and consistency
Monitor machine operations and adjust parameters to ensure components meet dimensional tolerances and quality requirements
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance
Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools and document quality control results
Maintain accurate records of production runs, material usage and machine maintenance
Collaborate with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines
Adhere to all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a CNC Borer Operator or similar CNC machining role within a manufacturing environment
Strong proficiency in CNC machine operation and familiarity with CNC programming languages
Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining strict quality standards
Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometres, callipers and gauges
Sound knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools and materials
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues independently
Physical capability to perform manual tasks and work in a manufacturing environment
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
